KD Player v9 Update Instructions

Why You Must Update

The old KD Player will stop working because the DNS it used has expired. You must install KD Player v9 to keep watching.

Step 1 – Uninstall the Old KD Player

1. On your TV box, go to Settings.
   2. Select Apps (or Applications).
   3. Scroll and select KD Player.
   4. Choose Uninstall and confirm.

Step 2 – Prepare a USB Drive

– Use a USB flash drive 128GB or smaller.
– Have a computer or phone with internet access.

Step 3 – Download the New KD Player v9

1. On your phone or computer, go to KDplayer.live.
   2. In the top menu, click ‘Download App’.
   3. This will open our bit.ly link and take you to Dropbox.
   4. In Dropbox, choose ‘Continue to website’ (do NOT open in the Dropbox app).
   5. Click ‘Download’ -> ‘Direct download’.
   6. Save the file ‘IPTV-Smarters-4.0.3.APK’ to your USB drive.

   You can also scan the QR code (provided separately) to go directly to the same download.

Step 4 – Install on Your TV Box

1. Plug the USB drive into your TV box.
   2. Open File Manager (or File Browser).
   3. Open the USB drive and select ‘IPTV-Smarters-4.0.3.APK’.
   4. If prompted to allow unknown apps:
   – Go to Settings -> Apps -> Special app access -> Install unknown apps.
   – Find File Manager (or the app you used) and turn ‘Allow from this source’ ON.
   5. Go back, select the file again, and choose Install.
   6. When installation finishes, choose Open.

Step 5 – Log In

When KD Player opens, choose ‘Login with Xtream Codes API’ and enter:
– Any Name: anything you want (e.g., My KD Box)
– Username: your first and last name in lowercase, no spaces (e.g., johnsmith)
– Password: your 10-digit phone number (e.g., 8565551212)
– Server/DNS: http://kytv.xyz
Select Add User or Login.

Troubleshooting

– If install is blocked: enable ‘Install unknown apps’ for File Manager.
– If login fails: check username/password format carefully.
– If the old KD Player opens: uninstall it completely, then open the new one.
